AMAX Unveils New HPC Solution Designed and Optimized to
Run in the Most Compute Intensive Environments
Latest Heterogeneous HPC Platform is Among the Company’s Highest Performing Servers,
Offering Extreme Performance and Scalability
SC10, New Orleans, LA – November 15, 2010. AMAX, a leading HPC solutions innovator, today announced the launch of the ServMax Xn-5801G, an advanced heterogeneous HPC 8-way solution serving as an ideal platform for large-scale supercomputing deployments suitable for intensive CPU and GPU-based computing. This announcement falls on the heels of AMAX’s launch of its ServMax AS-5160G, the 5U 16-GPU server solution representing the highest density GPGPU solution on the market today.
The ServMax Xn-5801G is designed to drive greater efficiency within IT operations through robust management and design advancements. The Xn-5801G 5U server solution’s unique design features eight Intel® 7500 series processors, up to four NVIDIA® Tesla™ C2050 or C2070 GPUs and 64 DIMM slots for up to 512GB of RAM. Boasting over 90% power-efficiency, the Platinum-level redundant power supplies give customers the highest level of computing performance along with the necessary power efficiency and high availability to run mission critical applications reliably and efficiently without sacrificing results. It is also compatible with the latest SAS2 and InfiniBand QDR technologies and features an unprecedented level of ease of serviceability with front-loaded hot-swappable HDDs and high-manageability with built-in IPMI. The Xn-5801G is an ideal supercomputing solution for scientific and research organizations that are increasingly seeking to improve computing power, speed resource consolidation and support mission-critical business and database applications.
"We developed the ServMax Xn-5801G for customers that require the most extreme HPC deployments for the compute-intensive environment,” said Winston Tang, Product Development Manager for AMAX. "This is a great example of how AMAX responded to industry demands calling for a more powerful solution in terms of performance, scalability and density that are also feasible in real-world settings. With the Xn-5801G, customers are getting a high-performance system that easily scales to 80-cores, without sacrificing the highest level of power-efficiency or serviceability. From an engineer’s standpoint, it’s an extremely powerful solution that just makes a lot of sense.”
AMAX will be demonstrating its latest GPGPU innovations at SC10, which will be held at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA in the booth #4546, November 15th through 18th, 2010.
