    Appro Launches High-Performance Storage Systems

    Milpitas, CA- October 08, 2004 - Appro (http://www.appro.com), a leading provider of high-performance enterprise computing systems will be demonstrating its new Storage Systems working with the Appro HyperBlade Cluster solution at SEG in Denver, CO, booth number 2411.

    The Appro Storage systems are fully compatible with the Appro HyperBlade Cluster Series providing storage solution for fast, simple data consolidation to mission-critical, high-performance data center applications. Customers can configure the device as a DAS, NAS or SAN solution that can scale according to their needs. Appro offers SCSI, single and dual redundant Fibre Channel, redundant power supplies, hot-swappable fans and RAID controllers for its 2U and 3U high-density profile storage systems. These Storage systems provide a variety of configuration options such as StorDome Storage Management tool for set-up and monitoring, multiple logical drive configuration, each with a different RAID level, firmware options for data availability and a choice of Linux, Windows or NetWare server platforms.

    Appro Storage 2U-AR2012:
    It is designed for storage hungry applications and high-density environments. Its features include support for two U160 SCSI host interfaces, 3TB of storage and 12 SATA hot-swap hard disk bays.

    Appro Storage 3U-AR3016 Series:
    It is designed specifically for IT administrators who need an economical storage system. It provides high-performance, exceptional reliability and scalability and ease of use. It features include support for two 2Gbs Fibre Channel HBA cards with up to 4.0 TB of storage and 16 SATA hot-swap hard disk bays. It also supports JBOD host interface with expansion up to 7 additional JBOD's (28TB).

    Appro Storage 3U-FR3016 Series:
    It is designed for applications in storage area networks. This series comes with full redundancy of its active components. It provides storage solutions for high-performance, mission-critical data center applications. It features include support for four Fibre Channels with 2Gbps and JBOD host interfaces, with up to 2.3 TB of storage and 16 Fibre Channel hard disk bays. It offers expansion up to 7 additional JBOD's (16.3TB).
