New Partnership for accelerating Cluster performance
    Monday November 15 2004 @ 08:26AM EST

Compusys HPC now offer industry leading Compiler and Development products and new host channel adapter technology.

Compusys HPC has just signed a Global Reseller agreement with Pathscale Inc., of Sunny Vale, California, to add leading edge Software and Hardware Technology to further enhance its HPC portfolio, and provide its customers with an even greater choice of software solutions.

This partnership provides Compusys with access to a unique portfolio of products including industry-leading Compiler and Development products, and new host channel adapter technology, capable of supporting high performance low latency communications using Infiniband interconnect technology.

Pathscale Inc. software compiler products are building a reputation for extremely fast compiler performance, especially on architectures such as the AMD Opteron Platform. This, coupled with Pathscale’s latest developments in Infiniband technology, provides a unique addition to the solutions available from Compusys HPC.

Compusys HPC have the latest Pathscale Products in our HPC Labs, where their performance and compatibility can be tested and compared by Users and Customers prior to their purchase.

Seen as a Centre of Excellence with both Users and Vendors, the HPC Labs allows Compusys HPC customers to access to one of the most advanced High Performance Computing Development facilities in the UK. The Labs are equipped with the latest hardware and software technologies, including hardware architectures including Intel Xeon, Xeon EM64T and Itanium 2 platforms, along with AMD Opteron based Dual Processor and Quad Processor Server and Node Platforms.

Test systems can be configured with a choice of Interconnects, including Myrinet, Infiniband and Ethernet, giving customers the ability to select their choice of processor platform, high speed interconnect, and software stack, based on their own test results.

Art Goldberg, Chief Operating Officer at Pathscale Inc. is encouraged by the agreement between Pathscale Inc. and Compusys. “Compusys are a key partner to drive us further into the High Performance Computing sector. With their experience in developing the UK HPC market, working with Pathscale ensures we will capitalise on their technical and commercial experience”

“Our new partnership with Pathscale Inc. is an extremely important addition to our solutions stack” says Terry Fisher, Business Development Manager of HPC, at Compusys. “Pathscale already have a reputation for extremely fast Compilers, and this can only increase the performance potential of our Cluster Solutions”.
