AMAX Launches Next-Generation HPC Solutions Optimized for Latest Intel Xeon E7 Family

The H Class server solutions includes extreme core counts and large memory support, providing unprecedented performance and breakthrough power-efficiency across a variety of HPC deployments, including financial, oil and gas, biomedical, research, and government. These highly configurable systems?unparalleled performance, coupled with its unmatched ability to execute computing processes, help scientists and engineers solve the world's most complex computational challenges.

The powerful next-generation ServMax H Class platforms deliver blazing 2.67GHz performance and turbo boost technology to achieve even faster speeds, with up to 40% performance improvement for data-intensive software applications such as ANSYS, AMBER 11, Jacket and 3ds Max. The H Class features up to 10 processing cores and 20 threads, eight sockets, memory support for 2TB with Millbrook2, and additional 30MB of L3 cache, providing the muscle to tackle larger, increasingly complex and floating point applications. The H Class incorporates enhanced encryption processes to increase encryption and decryption rates, resulting in faster execution and added protection against software targeted attacks. Boasting enhanced low-power features, Gold-level power supplies, and C6 power-saving mode, the H Class solutions fuel blistering computational performance while outperforming previous generation systems and consuming the same power consumption. The new processors enable up to 95% lower operating costs and an estimated return on investment in as little as eight months. AMAX's comprehensive line of highly scalable HPC solutions are especially well suited for web serving, virtualization and cloud computing workloads.

- ServMax HX-1401: The HX-1401 1U 4-Way 3-Drive scalable high performance server features eight of the latest Intel Xeon processor E7 family with 64 cores and 192MB cache in a 5U chassis. It includes 6Gbps SAS2 with hardware RAID onboard and is ideal for enterprise mission-critical applications, datacenters and data farm.

- ServMax HX-4401: The HX-4401 4U 4-way 10-drive tower features Intel Xeon processors, offering extreme performance and is ideal for virtualization, application development and high performance computing.

- ServMax HX-5801: The HX-5801 5U 8-Way 4-GPU 24-Drive supercomputing server features 1,792-GPU cores, 4.12 Teraflops of SP performance and eight Intel Xeon processors E7 family. It is best utilized for ANSYS simulations, computational structural mechanics, and numerical analytics.

- ServMax Xn-5801G: The HX-5801 5U 8-Way 24-drive CPU-based high performance server features high density and hot swappable drive bays with flexible configurations. It is ideal for large-scale virtualization applications, including cloud computing and CAD.
